Program Overview

The Master of Public Health (MPH) degree is designed to prepare professionals for leadership roles in the assessment and promotion of public health. The 42-credit program has a multi-disciplinary curriculum which provides graduates with a comprehensive and multifaceted approach to ensuring the health of our communities.

Graduates will be prepared, at the policy and the direct-service levels, to advocate for reducing systemic health disparities, promoting cultures of health for all groups in our society, and enhancing health in human populations through organized community efforts.

We are a learner-centered, industry-focused program designed to add value to students and the organizations for which they work. We train early careerists, and increase competency in mid-level professionals, enhancing potential for upward mobility and easy movement within the public health arena.

Graduates of the MPH program will be prepared to work in a variety of settings such as non-profit organizations, government agencies, hospitals/health systems, and insurance companies. Just a few examples of potential employment positions include health program coordinator, community health educator, health policy analyst, and research analyst.
