JUS665 Legal and Critical Issues
This course examines in depth some of the major topicspertinent to the administration of public safety institutions incontemporary America. Public and social policies as they relateto crime, crime prevention, and justice are considered.Community-oriented efforts and problem-solving techniquesnow used in law enforcement and by other public safetyagencies will also be analyzed. Issues will be considered fromlocal, state, and federal perspectives as well as from a globalperspective and examine issues of political justice, economicjustice, and human rights.
