BUS350 Small Business Planning & Management
This course emphasizes the fundamentals of starting a new business venture from development to planning, market analysis, initial financing, organizing, and managing. Topics include form of ownership, location, distribution channel and supplier chain to cash flow, operations and marketing. Introduction to the nonprofit sector and community is presented. Management issues specific to nonprofits including mission, volunteerism and financial management will be explored. The principle of wealth creation and contribution to society will be dominant throughout. Prerequisites: BUS 200 Principles of Management and Management Skills and BUS 242 Principles of Accounting I
