CHEM305 Human Biochemistry
Intended for students seeking entry into the health care professions, this course offers an overview of human biochemistry through an analysis of the structural and functional features of the major biomolecules (proteins, carbohydrates, lipids and nucleic acids). Particular attention is given to enzyme catalysis and metabolism. Case studies exploring the biocemistry of human disease and treatment are emphasized.
