SMDM631 Metrics Management for Social Media
This course focuses on the practical aspects of social media analytics. Competencies and knowledge of the fundamentals of effective communication will be further explored and enhanced as students will learn how to gather, interpret, and prioritize social media analytic data. Students will also gain a strong working knowledge of how to use computer software packages, such as Microsoft Excel, to analyze the data to create, critique, implement and alter social media strategies based on statistics and personal feedback. Students will be afforded the opportunity to survey different analytical measurement software packages, and learn the advantages and disadvantages of each. Pre-Reqs: SMDM 611, 613, 617, 619, 622 and BUS 640 and 675. Required: 3 credits
