AHS205 Research and Writing in Healthcare
This course will provide a foundational overview of evidence-based practice (EBP) in health sciences, including the seven steps of the EBP process as well as research supported strategies for implementing EBP in real world settings. Scientific and academic writing will also be a focus of the course. Topics covered include: Making the Case for Evidence-Based Practice, Spirit of Inquiry and Formulating a PICO Question, Basic Searching for Evidence, Critical Appraisal vs. Critique, Integrating Evidence into Decision Making and Measuring Outcomes, and Making EBP Happen in Real World Clinical Settings
