ED330 Literacy in the Secondary Education Curricula K-12

This course supports pre-service teachers in integrating theoretical and practical approaches for teaching all learners. It enables pre-service teachers to use integrated language skills to improve learning in the content areas. Students review current topics in literacy, teaching and planning strategies, and the use of technology which will enable them to work with learners to improve literacy skills. Ten (10) hours of supervised clinical experience is required. Students need to provide their own transportation to their clinical setting(s). Pre-requisites: ED 101, ED 200, and Junior Education Status. A min. 3.0 GPA is required.
