FN323 Nutrition in the Life Cycle
An exploration of the nutritional needs and dietary recommendations of people throughout the life cycle from pregnancy to the older adult. Physiological and environmental factors which affect nutritional status are discussed. Major government programs for populations at risk are identified. Case studies are introduced (4 credits; Offered spring semester; Prerequisites: FN 210 Basic Human Nutrition; Co-requisite: BIO 117 Human Physiology or BIO123 Anatomy & Physiology II).
