THEO637 Christian Views of the Body
The course develops a positive approach to the body as constitutive of human identity from New Testament times to the present. Our understanding of the body in different historical periods, the distinctiveness of the Christian view and the implications of that understanding for marriage and consecrated celibacy will be explored along with contemporary cultural emphasis on health, lifestyle and ethics.
