THEO645 The Word of God in the Lectionary

The course will examine the meaning of DABAR, the Hebrew term for "word". The dynamic meaning of that term will introduce the student to the theology of word in Christian scripture and the lectio selecta which becomes the source for the Lectionary. The rhythm of the Church Year will be studied, as well as significant Christological themes proclaimed in the readings.
