SPAN495 Experience (Internship)

The internship objective is to offer students minoring in Spanish a professional real life experience. Students work with the Experiential Learning Center at SEU to identify, apply and complete an internship in their area of interest on or off campus. Students are encouraged to engage in meaningful service-learning activites including engagement in the community and activities that increase awareness on humanitarian issues especially those relating to displaced people, refugess and immigrants. Internships must include an extensive Spanish language component (50%) in order to help students integrate the content of their previous courses. By the end of the internship students must prepare a formal presentation to reflect on thie experience and learning to be presented at the College of St. Elizabeth.Pre-requisite: At least one 300 level SPAN course.
