EDAS703 Introduction to Adult Education and Organizational Leadership
An introduction to the professional field of adult education: fields of practice (higher education, workplace, continuing education, adult basic education and their evolution, and new challenges); philosophical foundations and their relevance; clarification of concepts; and discussion of emerging issues and challenges in the field. Additionally, this course examines the theories and models of leadership and followership. Environmental factors, organizational objectives, organizational culture, and individual and group ethical standards will be examined.
