This course provides an overview of the legal and ethical dimensionsof professional practice in contemporary American publiceducation. Students examine the ethical dimensions of schoollaw, by researching authentic case studies in order to ensure areality based experience.This problem-based approach gives thestudents the opportunity to analyze various situations using theethic of justice, the ethic of care, and the ethic of the profession.
