ABA600 Foundations in Applied Behavior Analysis

This introductory course presents the principles, characteristics, dimensions and concepts of the science of behavior analysis. The history of behavior analysis and seminal research from the field will be reviewed and discussed. Students learn to fluently discuss the similarities and differences between behaviorism and other fields of science and psychology, as well as master the skills to fully describe the principles of reinforcement, punishment, conditioning, extinction, motivating operations, functional relationships and other concept areas.
