CS601 Foundations of Analytics
This course provides a broad introduction to the subject of data analysis, focusing on building and expanding theoretical, statistical and practical background required in the field of data analytics. Different types of data are investigated along with data summarization techniques and plotting. Data populations using discrete, continuous, and multivariate distributions are explored by students working both individually, and in teams. Students will develop proficiency in using various data analysis packages and libraries in programming languages such as Python or R. Students will gain the ability to build regression models and apply them to real business problems.
