CS625 Data Mining
The course provides an introduction to the concepts behind data mining, text mining and web mining. Topics include data mining techniques such as classification, regression, association rules, cluster analysis, natural language processing, and recommendation systems. All material covered is reinforced through hands-on experience using state-of-the art tools/packages/libraries to design and execute data mining processes starting with data understanding, data preprocessing/wrangling, exploratory data analysis, prediction and, finally, interpretation of results.
