ED608 Clinical Practice Seminar II

During this seminar, clinical interns will examine and discuss pertinent issues facing educators today, as well as complete a teacher performance assessment known as the edTPA portfolio. Clinical interns will engage in planning and implementing instruction and assessment during their full-time clinical practice semester, as well as reflecting on their own practices and those of other education professionals. Discussion, peer interaction, and responses to presentations by faculty and guest speakers will further enrich learning. Much time is dedicated to constructing and addressing challenges related to the edTPA portfolio. The Director of Field Placement will distribute a Disposition Survey to the Clinical Intern and the Cooperating Teacher. The completion of the Disposition Survey is a mandatory requirement of the course. Submission of the surveys will be to the Director of Field Placement. Pre-requisites: ED 601, ED 603, PSY 606, ED 665, ED 605, ED 651 or ED 681 or ED 510, and ED 607. A minimum of 3.00 GPA is required. Co-requisite: ED 609.
