A rich resource in Christian history is its mystical tradition. An exploration of this tradition in terms of the meaning of mysticism, the various "ways" of the mystics, the dominant figures in its history, the renewal of interest in some of the less well known medieval women mystics, and the contemporary return to classics are among the topics to be explored.
