Students will learn about the range of artistic possibilities by exploring, for example, Italian Renaissance, Japanese Momoyama, French Impressionist, and American Abstract Expressionist art in addition to contemporary conceptual and installation projects from around the world. The focus will be 100 important works of world painting, sculpture, decorative art, and architecture during the last six centuries. Lectures, discussions, DVDs, library and website research, and museum visits provide insight into the topic.
