BUS435 Ethics & Law in Sport Management
This course will provide students with an understanding of the legislation and legal and ethical issues involved in the supervision, management and business operations in the sport industry. Introduction of the basic legal system, terminology and principles are presented as applicable to the sport management and marketing areas. Topics examined include labor law, risk management, contracts, tort liability, negligence, gender equity, sport labor relations, and selected current issues in the industry. Ethical principles and professionalism in sport management will also be studied.
