FN657 Current Topics in Preventive Nutrition

The goal of this course is for students to develop insight into the epidemiologic, physiologic, biochemical and nutritional complexities of five major diet-related diseases in the United States: obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer, and osteoporosis. The course serves as a forum in which current research papers can be reviewed and critiqued, discussions will focus on issues related to study design, analysis, interpretation of results, and relationship to the current body of knowledge. Prerequisites: FN650 or permission of instructor.
