MUS235 Great Works of World Music
This Music history course complares Music traditions and innovations in various countries from the year 1400 to the present. Students will learn about the range of music possibilites by exploring selections of major composers and performers from world cultures. The focus will be 100 important works of world music during the last six centuries. Lectures, discussions, DVDs, videos, CDs and website research, and local concerts will provide insight into the topic. Pre-requisite:
MUS125 or any Music History course.
