NURS201 Physical Assessment across the Lifespan

The course focuses on theory and practice of holistic assessment and health appraisal of the adult client. Emphasis is given to the role of the registered nurse as diagnostician, collaborator, communicator, and teacher. The nursing process provides the framework for developing skills in the physical, psycho-social, developmental and cultural-spiritual areas strengthening clinical reasoning, communication and documentation. Lecture 2 hours. Lab: 3 hours
