PA604 Physiology; Pathophysiology & Genetics Two

The two foundational courses in physiology, pathophysiology and genetics provide the student with the knowledge of the mechanisms by which the body functions and the application of those principles to the etiology, management, and prevention of human disease. Normal function, regulation, and genetic principles are reviewed using a systems approach; with exploration of pathophysiologic and genetic alterations and their relationship to clinical patient care. The focus of this second course is on the gastrointestinal, renal, and endocrine and reproductive systems. Pre-requisite: PA 603 Physiology, Pathophysiology & Genetics One; co-requisite: PA 602 Human Anatomy Two
