PA631 Clinical Medicine One

The three-course clinical medicine series provides the student with a body-system approach to diseases encountered in the practice of medicine and addresses pathophysiology, etiology, disease presentation, differential diagnosis, diagnostic studies and treatment. The units included in this course are nutrition, dermatology, HEENT, pulmonary, cardiology, neurology, infectious disease and hematology/oncology. Presentation of disease in patients across the lifespan is explored including pediatric and geriatric patients as well as those patients with disabilities. Case presentations and simulation activities are used to allow the student to practice the knowledge and skills learned in the classroom.Co-requisite: PA 641: Clinical Pharmacology One; PA 622: Patient Evaluation and Principles of Public Health
