PA632 Clinical Medicine Two

The three-course clinical medicine series provides the student with a body-system approach to diseases encountered in the practice of medicine and addresses pathophysiology, etiology, disease presentation, differential diagnosis, diagnostic studies and treatment. The units included in this course are gastroenterology, endocrinology, GU, and reproduction including OB/GYN, renal, orthopedics, rheumatology and psychiatry. Presentation of disease in patients across the lifespan will be explored including pediatric and geriatric patients as well as those patients with disabilities. Case presentations and simulation activities are used to allow the student to practice the knowledge and skills learned in the classroom. Prerequisite: PA 631 Clinical Medicine One; Co-requisite: PA 642 Clinical Pharmacology Two; PA 623 Patient Evaluation and Principles of Patient Education
