PA677 Applied Clinical Decision Making and Transition to Clinical Practice Seminar
The final course of an on-going series designed to instruct the student in the use of critical thinking skills to effectively evaluate patients and provide quality patient care, continues to provide the student with the opportunity to apply the knowledge gained in the program to the assessment and care of actual patients across the lifespan, including preventative care, impact of social determinants of health and psychosocial issues, and maximization of health and well-being. Review of actual patient cases with a faculty instructor allows for refinement of clinical decision making skills and judgement during supervised clinical practice experiences. Board review presentations and simulation activities are used to allow the student to continue to refine the integration of the knowledge, skills and attitudes in the transition to competent clinical practice as a PA.Pre-requisite: PA 676 Applied Clinical Decision Making and Patient Safety Seminar
