PA681 SCPE Core Internal Medicine
This supervised clinical practice experience provides the student with practical experience in the medical care of adult and geriatric patients. Under the supervision of a clinical preceptor, the student will apply knowledge gained in the didactic phase to actual care of patients as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team. The emphasis of this experience is on the coordination and collaboration of medical care in the inpatient and/or outpatient settings. The student will become familiar with the diagnosis, treatment and management of the adult medicine patient while taking into consideration the additional concerns of the geriatric patient.
