PA686 SCPE Core General Surgery
This supervised clinical practice experience provides the student with practical experience in the surgical care of patients. Under the supervision of a clinical preceptor, the student will apply knowledge gained in the didactic phase to actual care of patients as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team. The emphasis of this experience is on the coordination and collaboration of surgical care in the pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative settings. The student will become familiar with the diagnosis, treatment and management of the surgical patient.
