SW207 Introduction to Social Work and Social Welfare
This course considers how the profession of social work evolved in the United States. The course highlights the mission and values of the social work profession with particular reference to the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics. The course also introduces the theoretical foundations of social work practice and options for social work practice. Satisfies Outcome 9 of the General Education Curriculum.
