AHS313 Organizational Behavior in Health Systems
3 Credits - This course provides for the application of concepts of organizational behavior in health care systems to maximize quality patient care. Human behavior at the individual, group and organizational level will be examined. The student will develop problem solving and analytical skills for operational and strategic leadership. Important topic areas in patient safety including the components of quality measures and their construction and evaluation in the current healthcare environment are discussed. Students will review and create quality measures within their chosen field and develop a quality improvement project to improve a process or outcome. Prerequisite: junior or senior status
