BIO302 Introduction to Communication Disorders
This course provides a basic introduction to the profession of speech-language pathology and audiology, and a broad survey of the myriad of communication disorders within the field. An overview of the biology and typical early communication milestones of speech and language will provide the background necessary for understanding and discussion of communication disorders. General assessment and treatment of communication disorders will be considered within the context of linguistic and cultural diversity and evidence-based practice.
