BIO305 Embryology
A study of animal development that addresses how complex multicellular organisms with diverse forms and cell types arise from single cells. Topics covered in this course include but are not limited to the molecular and cellular mechanisms that underlie the early development, the processes of differentiation, morphogenesis and growth. The course will also cover how errors in development lead to disorders and ethical questions related to the field. Lab component of the course will include observing developmental mechanisms in several model organisms.
