BUS300 Business Finance I

This course describes the theory and practice of basic corporate finance and investments. It focuses on the principles employed in the analysis of financial statements rather than their creation. Topics include capital budgeting, financial planning, interest rates, risk analysis, the time value of money, and working capital management. Internal controls and business ethics are applied throughout. Case studies and financial analysis will be employed throughout the coursework. Student must be junior/senior status, or receive permission from the Director or Chair of the Program
