BUS408 Tax Accounting

This course is a study of the principles of the federal system of income taxation with an emphasis on the taxation of individuals, property transactions, the taxation of partnerships and corporations and the reconciliation of tax accounting and financial accounting theory and practice. Prerequisites: BUS100 Introduction to Business, BUS242 Principles of Accounting I, BUS243 Principles of Accounting II, BUS247 Intermediate Accounting I and BUS249 Intermediate Accounting II. Student must be junior/senior status, or receive permission from the Director or Chair of the Program.
