CHEM121 Introduction to Chemistry

''This course is designed to introduce non-science majors to the fundamental principles of generalchemistry. Students will explore key concepts such atomic theory, bonding, stoichiometry, statesof matter, kinetics, thermochemistry, solutions chemistry and acid-base chemistry. Emphasis willbe placed on developing problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and understanding therelevance of chemistry in a variety of contexts. In the laboratory component, students will use avariety of experimental techniques to make measurements, perform data analysis and reinforcetheir understanding of key chemical concepts.
