CS319 Computer Operating Systems

Introduction to the major concepts and components of operating systems, principles of system organization, process management, memory management, file systems and tradeoffs between performance and functionality during the design and implementation of an operating system; case studies of several operating systems. Prerequisite: CS 235 or approval of the program chair.
