CS435 Artificial Intelligence
The course serves as an introduction to the fundamental concepts, techniques, and applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI). It begins with the definition of AI and an overview of its ‘historical development as well as its impact on society, ethics, and future trends. Through a combination of lectures, hands-on exercises, and discussions, students will explore the core AI concepts and techniques including problem-solving, search algorithms, knowledge representation, reasoning and machine learning basics as well as applications of AI in various fields. Prerequisite: CS 217 and CS301 or approval of the program chair.
