ED609 Clinical Practice
This is the culminating, full-time clinical practice experience that occurs in teacher candidates’ final semester in the ACT 1 program. Clinical interns will complete 525 hours in an assigned K-12 school setting under the guidance and supervision of an effective or highly effective cooperating teacher in their licensure area. Assigned clinical supervisors will meet with teacher candidates in their field settings on a bi-weekly basis to address questions and concerns, as well as to formally evaluate interns’ ability to plan for, facilitate, and assess student learning. Pre-requisites: All required ACT 1 coursework must be successfully completed prior to the start of full-time clinical practice. A minimum of 3.00 GPA is required. Co-requisite: ED 608.
