EDAS601 Leadership & Learning Communities
This course will provide students with the opportunity to explore the literature and research on models of effective leadership skills and their application in a range of 21st century school settings. Emphasis will be placed on helping students gain the knowledge to refine the skills necessary for success in leading program improvement efforts. The foundational experiences of this course will prepare students to apply leadership skills that are essentially based on the approaches of a Servant Leader. The demonstration of such skills is evidenced by: developing a shared vision for the school community, creating a positive school climate, promoting collegiality, and energizing the involvement and commitment of all stakeholders in the school community.
