NURS405 Nursing Care Provider IV - Complex Health Concepts

This course represents the culmination of the clinical studies for the baccalaureate degree in nursing designed to assimilate the concepts within the three domains of the individual, healthcare, and nursing. Emphasis is placed on acute care and the concepts of fluid/electrolytes, metabolism,perfusion, mobility, stress/coping, violence, health-wellness-illness, professional behaviors, caringinterventions, managing care, healthcare systems, quality improvement, and emergency medicine.Upon completion, students will be able to demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and attitudesnecessary to provide quality, individualized, entry-level nursing care. Laboratory experiences areprovided in the classroom laboratory setting as well as medical-surgical and critical care units,community agencies and any other clinical sites to meet the course objectives.
