PSY209 Understanding Self & Others
In this course, students will acquire knowledge of psychological concepts critical to understanding themselves and communicating more effectively with others. Students will consider such topics as motivation, goal setting, self-awareness, personal problem solving, assertiveness, conflict management, forgiveness, and group dynamics. Emphasis will be placed on the development of personal maturity and the establishment of culturally sensitive and just relationships as cornerstones for effective functioning in school, work, family, and community settings.Pre-Requisites: PSY100 and PSY200
