REL263 Spirituality and Ethics

How one relates to the sacred and the choices one makes are inseparably connected. Spirituality is embodied in action. In this course we will examine the ways in which individuals’ and communities’ spiritual perspectives shape the policies and actions which they embrace. Included will be an exploration of particular methods of spiritual and moral development, particularly within but not limited to the Christian tradition, including prayer, spiritual disciplines, action for social change, small groups, and storytelling. Satisfies Outcome 9 of the General Education Curriculum.
