SW307 Methods in Social Work 1:Individuals & Families

''This course focuses on the knowledge, skills, and values needed for generalist practice with individuals and families, or 'micro'-level practice. Students will learn to assess clients, practice intervention skills in real-life scenarios through case studies and role-plays with peers, critically evaluate and assess the effectiveness of their practice, and reflect on their work with clients. This course teaches students how to engage in research-informed practice and lays the groundwork for practice-informed research. This course emphasizes the major social work practice models, and teaches students to engage in anti-racist, equitable, and inclusive practices with diverse populations. ''
