AHS304 Healthcare Finance
The course focuses on the related topics of planning and financial decision making as applied to healthcare organizations. Financial management practices and principles relevant to financial performance, analysis and the budgeting process will be examined. Students will learn about capital budgets, investment projects, and the impact of capital investments on healthcare organizations. The course will include an overview of various reimbursement methods utilized in the healthcare industry such as Medicare/Medicaid, Commercial insurance, Managed and Ambulatory Care.
