Health Care Management

Program Overview

The Master of Science in Health Care Management features an integrated curriculum in the study of health care management and leadership. A Capstone Experience will integrate and synthesize health care management skills and competencies.

The Program has been designed for health care administrators, managers, nurses and other health care providers, or any health related professionals who wish to increase their knowledge and expertise in the specific application of health care management and leadership. Applicants who have not previously studied health care management are welcome.

Graduates of the program will find diverse job opportunities with a variety of health areas, including health insurance companies, managed care organizations, medical group practices, hospitals, and biomedical and pharmaceutical organizations. The program is coeducational and provides broad-based academic preparation for succeeding in the ever-changing health care environment.

Outcomes

The Program utilizes the National Center for Healthcare Leadership (NCHL) Competency Model as the framework for learning and assessment methods and program outcomes. The 26 NCHL competencies comprise the program's outcomes and are grouped in the three domains of transformation, execution, and people.
