FN677 Program Design & Mgt in Community Nutr
This course provides the student with core skills in planning and develpoing community nutirtion and health-related interventions for behavior change at the individual, family, and social leveles. Assits the student in program planning, including needs assessments, goal setting, establishing objectives, program implementation and evaluation to measure outcomes. Examins nutrition and health education models to design educational and community-base programs. Principles of program administration are included; marketing, budget and fiscal programs. Discusses issues andproblems influencing delivery of nutritional care; access, resources, urbanization, socioeconomics, and health values, An emphasis is placed on applying health program planning skills while developing a grant proposal.
