CHEM207 Field Experience Emergency Medicine
This course will provide the student wth the opportunity to shadow physicians in the Emergency Department (ED) at Morristown Medical Center. Successful completion of this course requires attendance at the ED orientation program, volunteering in the emergency room 4 hours per week for 12 weeks, receiving a satistactory or better evaluation at the end of each 4 hour shift, and completing a learning log for the orientation program and each shift. At the end of the semester students are required to complete a CSE internship evaluation form, submit an evaluation of the program to the ED coordinator, and complete an exit interview with the CSE coordinator. Approval for regististration is required and can be obtained from the CSE course coordinator. (0-1 credit)Grade Pass/Fail Open to College of Saint Elizabeth undergraduate students.
