Social Media Design and Management

The College of Saint Elizabeth's integrative and interdisciplinary M.A. in Social Media Design and Management will teach graduate students: about the history and development of social media; how to create innovative branding and graphic designs for e-markets; write business-savvy text; and gain the ability to market and manage social media sites of all types for a wide variety of employers and private individuals who demand a creative web presence.

Today, some of those social media sites include Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat, Tumblr, Twitter, and YouTube, in addition to websites, blogs and direct marketing businesses.

CSE's M.A. in Social Media Design and Management is intended for those students who have a B.A. or B.S. degree in almost any major. Every field needs social media experts who can post and cultivate audiences on all the sites, create superb websites and blogs, and mange, analyze and shift marketing and audience building strategies.

This is an M.A. program for those who want to be actively designing, communicating and creating content to promote non-profit, for-profit, governmental and/or personal enterprises. This M.A. program dovetails well with almost all B.A. and B.S. programs at the College. In addition, students in the M.A. in Social Media Design and Management will overlap with two courses for the M.S. in Management: BUS640 Social Media & Web 2.0 Management, Business & Organizations and BUS675 Social Media Management Project.

For more advanced computer students, a course in the M.S. in Data Analytics, CS625 Data Mining, will be a possible choice for the metric mining and analysis section of our M.A. Social Media Design and Management curriculum.
