B.A. or B.S. in Business Administration/M.S. in Accounting Dual Degree Program
Program Overview
The combined B.A. or B.S./M.S. in Accounting program consists of both SEU undergraduate courses and FDU graduate courses. SEU students admitted into the 4+1 program will be required to take 6 specified credits of FDU graduate courses during their senior undergraduate year, which will count towards satisfying the degree requirements of both their SEU B.A. or B.S. degree and their FDU M.S. degree.
The M.S. coursework typically takes one extra school year. This structure will provide students who enroll in the Program on a full-time basis the ability to complete the B.A. or B.S./M.S. program in five years.
Program Admission
FDU, in consultation with the Dean of the School of Professional Studies at SEU, shall make decisions concerning admission of students to the Program based on the criteria noted below, which were established by the Silberman College of Business. SEU shall make determinations concerning student eligibility for financial aid and the allocation of financial aid to students for the undergraduate portion of the Program, including the final undergraduate semester when students will be taking FDU graduate courses at FDU's Florham Campus.
- Any student in the undergraduate degree program at SEU enrolled in the B.S. in Business Administration or those earning a minor in Business Administration will be considered for the 4+1 Program.
- By the end of their first semester junior year and having earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher (out of 4.0), students must apply for admission to the five-year B.A. or B.S./M.B.A. program by submitting a completed FDU application (application fee is waived).
- The senior undergraduate year of study in the Program is a qualifying year. Students must maintain an SEU cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better in order to qualify for the graduate year. Failure to maintain the required GPA of 3.0 or better means that the student will not be allowed to continue into the graduate year without providing additional documentation as dictated by FDU.
Tuition and Fees
Undergraduate students enrolled in the program will be registered and billed at SEU for the term. Once matriculated as graduate students at FDU, students will be responsible for making payments directly to FDU.
